Edwin Braun enters his second season as an assistant with the Texas Lutheran Tennis program continuing his longtime coaching collaboration with Head Coach David Mueller. He is a 29 year employee at NBISD as an Instructional Technology Specialist where he previously taught AP Spanish, Video Technology and 3D Design and Animation in addition to his adjunct instructional positions at San Antonio College and Texas State University.  On the court, he assisted Coach Mueller in his 8 5A and 6A Team State Championship endeavors as Assistant Coach.

 

Braun is a native of Lubbock, Texas where he was a state ranked junior in addition to playing tournaments abroad with the John Newcombe International Touring Team.  

 

Braun has organized and led a variety of Study Abroad Programs in Mexico and France.  He earned his B.A. in French from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.A.T. in Spanish from Texas State University in San Marcos.

 

He and his wife, MariSol, live in New Braunfels and have one son: Felix.
