Men's Tennis Sweeps Austin College

SHERMAN, Texas -- After three weeks of postponements keeping the Bulldogs off the court due to weather across the state of Texas, Texas Lutheran men's tennis returned to the court with a 7-0 sweep of Austin College Saturday afternoon in Sherman.

Texas Lutheran swept in both doubles and singles competition.

Texas Lutheran entered doubles play with an advantage by virtue of winning a set by default. TLU clinched the doubles point by sweeping the two matches that were physically played on Saturday. The team of Cash Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) won their match 6-1 while the team of JT Figueroa (New Braunfels/John Paul II) and Kadon Sullins (Kyle/Lehman) won in a decisive 6-0 fashion.

TLU automatically won two points in singles competition by default before Herrera, Moninger, Sullins, and Logan Randall (Idalou/Idalou) won their matches in straight sets.

Texas Lutheran will enjoy yet another extended break as the Bulldogs will not return to play again until March 21 when they make up their match against LeTourneau in Waco at 1 PM.
