Men's Tennis Falls to Schreiner in SCAC Quarterfinals

SHERMAN, Texas -- The number four-seed Texas Lutheran men's tennis team fell to fifth-seeded Schreiner, 5-0, on Friday during SCAC quarterfinal action at Sherman High School Tennis Courts in Sherman, Texas.

With the loss, the Bulldogs finish their season with an 8-8 record, the best finish since 2018's 9-11 season.

Texas Lutheran was swept in doubles play. Logan Randall (Idalou/Idalou) and JT Figueroa (New Braunfels/John Paul II) and fought to a tightly contested 8-7 conclusion. Jacksom Leslie (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Xavier Cristan (Corpus Christi/Flour Bluff) played to an 8-6 finish.

The Mountaineers would clinch their spot in the SCAC semifinals with two singles wins in the number one and two positions.
