Texas Lutheran Streak Ends at Six, Swept 9-0 by Southwestern

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran men's tennis was swept by Southwestern, 9-0, Friday afternoon at the Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center. With the loss, the Bulldogs longest win streak since joining the SCAC ends at six straight match wins.

The Bulldogs were swept in doubles competition. The team of Cashton Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) fought to a 5-8 finish.

Men's tennis would drop all six singles matches. Kadon Sullins (Kyle/Lehman) would have a competitive match before falling in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

Up next, Texas Lutheran faces Scheiner in their conference and home finale at the Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center on Saturday, April 13th. First serve is set for 11 AM. Texas Lutheran will honor senior Tyler Sargent (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) prior to Saturday's match alongside women's tennis senior Allie Speyrer.
