Men's Tennis Defeats University of St. Mary (KS), 7-2

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Men's Tennis defeated NAIA opponent University of St. Mary (KS), 7-2, at the Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center on Monday for their second straight win.

Texas Lutheran swept doubles competition.

The team of Xavier Cristan (Corpus Christi/Flour Bluff) and Jackson Leslie (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) picked up their third win of the season with a dominant 8-3 win while the team of Cashton Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) won a tightly contest match in the No. 1 spot, 8-7, for their third win this season.

Herrera, Moninger, Jackson Leslie, and JT Figueroa (New Braunfels/John Paul II) would all win their singles matches in straight sets. The win marked the team-leading fifth singles win of the season for Herrera.

Up next, Texas Lutheran begins a four-match road trip starting with two matches at Sul Ross State this weekend in Alpine on Friday, Mar. 8, and Saturday, Mar. 9.
