Texas Lutheran Swept 9-0 by Covenant

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran men's tennis was swept by Covenant College, 9-0, Friday night at the Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs were swept in doubles competition. The team of Cashton Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) fought to a 5-8 finish.

Men's tennis would drop all six singles matches. Eric Moninger and JT Figueroa (New Braunfels/John Paul II) each forced a decisive third set but would be unable to pull out the singles victories.

Up next, Texas Lutheran opens SCAC conference play as they welcome Austin College to Seguin on Saturday, Mar. 2. First serve is set for 11 AM.
