Men's Tennis Drops Match to LeTourneau, 5-4

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran men's tennis fell to Howard Payne, 5-4, in non-conference action at Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs (0-3) dropped two points in doubles competition to the YellowJackets (2-0). The team of Logan Randall (Idalou/Idalou) and JT Figueroa (New Braunfels/John Paul II) picked up their first win of the season - winning their match 8-5.

Texas Lutheran and LeTourneau would split their singles matches 3-3. Cashton Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) would win his second straight singles, 6-1, 6-2. After falling in three sets Friday, Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) won his first singles match of the season, 6-3, 6-4. Jackson Leslie (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) would also pick up his first singles victory of the season winning his match 7-5, 6-3.

Up next, Texas Lutheran continues non-conference action play as they welcome the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets to Seguin on Friday, Feb. 16. First serve is set for 2 PM.
