Green with fourth career hat trick as Bulldogs roll to 6-1 win at Centenary

SHREVEPORT, La. -- Texas Lutheran sophomore forward Luis Green notched his fourth career hat trick, and his third hat trick of the 2019 season, as the Bulldogs rolled to a 6-1 conference road win Friday night at Centenary College.
 
TLU improved to 12-5 overall and to 6-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
 
Centenary dropped to 8-7 overall and to 3-5 in the SCAC.
 
Nicolas Medina gave TLU a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute before Green scored a pair of first-half goals, the first coming in the 38th minute and the second in the 45th minute.
 
TLU led 3-1 at the half.
 
After Marco Roman pushed the Bulldog lead to 4-1, Green scored his third goal with a shot in the 64th minute.
 
Santiago Quinonez collected the Bulldogs' sixth goal with a shot in the 89th minute.
 
TLU's six goals in a match are a season-high. The Bulldogs have scored 45 goals in 2019.
 
Green now has 16 goals in 2019 and 34 goals in his 35 games played with the Bulldogs. Green, as a freshman, was a 2018 All-American and the 2018 SCAC Offensive Player of the Year.
 
The Bulldogs head to Houston now to face St. Thomas on Sunday in TLU's final regular-season conference game. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
