TLU Bulldogs With A Dominant Home Victory To Start SCAC Play

SEGUIN, Texas – Texas Lutheran Men's Soccer secure a 4-1 victory in the conference opener over the Austin College Kangaroos. The Bulldogs improve to 7-3 this year.

The first half was close, with a goal from Jared Esparza in the 11th minute with assists from Cameron Townes and Mitchell Long. Only for the Kangaroos to even it up in the 23rd minute with a goal by Ahmet Ramovic with the assist coming from Jean Marie Luundo.

In the second half the bulldogs broke away, with Luis Green scoring his seventh goal of the season in the 47th minute with an assist from Kevin Chavez. Quickly following Green's goal, in the 49th minute Nicolas Medina scored an unassisted goal. The final goal came in the 89th minute as Kevin Chavez scored his first goal of the year with an assist from Marco Roman.

The Bulldogs led the Kangaroos with more corner kicks 7-4.

Caleb Weed finished the game with four saves.

The Bulldogs play this Saturday at Gustafson Field starting at 2:00. Coach Eddie Salazar will be looking for his 100th career win against the University of Dallas.
