Mary Hardin-Baylor edges TLU 2-1 in double overtime

SEGUIN, Texas -- Patrick Roach knocked home the match-winner in the fifth minute of double overtime to lift Mary Hardin-Baylor to a 2-1 road victory over Texas Lutheran.
 
Saturday night at TLU's Gustafson Field, Roach's shot came off an assist form Martin Lopez.
 
TLU rallied to tie the match in the 88th minute on the third goal of the season from Cameron Townes. Cole Welker found Townes in the box, where Townes headed home the equalizer.
 
Townes scored twice Friday in TLU's 2-1 win over Concordia Texas.
 
TLU out-shot UMHB 32-15. Shots on goal were about even, with UMHB holding a 12-11 edge.
 
UMHB keeper Isai Olvera and TLU keeper Caleb Weed each made 10 saves.
 
The Cru took the early lead in the 25th minute on a goal from Rolando Nieto.
 
TLU dropped to 1-1, and UMHB moved to 1-0-1.
 
The Bulldogs return to action next Friday with a 4:30 p.m. road match against Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas.
