Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at West Region Invitational

GEORGETOWN, Texas --  The Texas Lutheran men's golf team earned a sixth place finish at the West Region Invitational hosted by Southwestern University at the Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas, on Monday.

The Bulldogs closed the event with with a 36-hole total of 615, 39-over par. Trinity University won the event with a 595 tally at the par-72 course.

Trinity's Jacob Mason posted a seven-under total of 137 to claim first-place - winning the event by four strokes.

Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) finished third with a two-under par total of 142. Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) joined Wills in the the top 20, finishing in a tie for 20th at eight-over par.

Johannes Chang (Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia/Tenby International School) finished tied for 31st with a final tally of 158 to finish 14-over par.

The Bulldogs turn their attention to the 2024 SCAC Championships beginning on April 21st in Waco, Texas.
