Tobey Wills Wins Individual Title at Linda Lowery Invitational, Texas Lutheran Finishes Fifth
LAGWAY, Texas -- Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster), a junior from Richmond, Texas, made three birdies Tuesday en route to a two-over score of 74 to claim his second individual championship of the 2024 season at the Space City Classic in Houston, Texas.
Wills finished the 36-hole tournament at a five-over score of 149. Wills would initially tie with Parker Smith from the tournament's host, Concordia University, but Wills would birdie the playoff hole to secure the top spot. The win marks the fourth individual championship in his career.
As a team, Texas Lutheran finished in fifth place with a final total of 638 (+62).
Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) shot a 7-over final round to finish the Invitational 14-over and in a tie for 19th place.
Texas Lutheran returns to action April 8 at the West Region Invitational at the Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas.
