Wills, Kruse Rise Up Leaderboard on Day Two of Coastal Collegiate Classic

GLENEDEN BEACH, OR -- The Texas Lutheran men's golf team shot up the leaderboard on day two of the Coastal Collegiate Classic hosted by Corban University at the Salishan Golf Links in Gleneden Beach, Oregon - lowering their score by 21 strokes in round two - shooting a 296 as a team to rise from fifth place to third place following Monday's second round.

Despite a four-over performance on Monday,  Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) would move into second place with a 36 hole score of 147.

Wills trails first place by five strokes individually while TLU trails leader Southern Oregon by 11 strokes. The Bulldogs have a 12 stroke lead on fourth place Simpson (CA) who entered Monday as the team leader in the clubhouse.

Caleb Kruse (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) rose 12 spots on the leaderboard on Monday, shooting a round two best one-under score in the pouring rain. Kruse now sits in 10th place with a 36 hole score of 152 (+10).

Cody O'Brien (Houston/St. John XXIII College Prep) rose eight spots following a second round 75 (+4) to sit in a tie for 14th place.

Johannes Chang (Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia/Tenby International School) and Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) sit just outside the top 20, tying for 21st place after Monday's second round with a two-round score of 19-over (161).

Tuesday's final round will begin with tee times starting at 9 AM PST.
