Wills Finishes Third as Texas Lutheran Closes John Bohmann Memorial Invite

SEGUIN, Texas -- After entering the final round with a three stroke lead, junior Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) shot a 4-over 71 to finish four-over par on the final day of the John Bohmann Memorial Invite at Starcke Park Golf Course in Seguin. Wills would finish tied for third with a final score of 208 (-5).

The Texas Lutheran men's golf team tied for a sixth place finish.

The Bulldogs closed the event with a round of 304 with a 54-hole total of 897, 45-over par. Southwestern University won the event with an 848 tally, Our Lady of the Lake was second with a team score of 851 at the par-71 course.

Trinity University's Jacob Mason climbed the leaderboard on Tuesday, posting a 6-under total of 207 to claim first-place - winning the event after winning a playoff.

Caleb Kruse (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) and Cody O'Brien (Houston/St. John XXIII College Prep) finished tied for 34th place with a number of other golfers, finishing with a 14-over par total of 227.

TLU will be back in action next weekend as they travel to Tunica, Mississippi, to participate in the Rhodes College Fall Invitational at the Tunica National Golf Club.
