Bulldogs Finish Third in Bohmann Memorial Invite
SEGUIN, TX -- Texas Lutheran men's golf team earned a third-place finish at the John Bohmann Memorial Invite on Tuesday at Starcke Park Golf Course.
The Bulldogs closed the event with a round of 292 with a 54-hole total of 869, 17-over par. Trinity University won the event with an 855 tally, University of Dallas was second with a team score of 868 at the par-71 course.
Our Lady of the Lake's Raul Gonzalez posted a 6-under total of 207 to claim first-place - winning the event by three strokes.
For the second consecutive event, junior Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) finished in the top ten. Coming off a third-place finish in the Pine Dunes Invitational, Maus finished with an even par total of 213 to finish sixth after closing 3-over par in the final round Tuesday.
Senior Chandler Otto (Round Rock/Cedar Ridge) fell two spots Tuesday but still finished in the top ten after tallying a 4-over par score on Tuesday to close at 2-over par and finish tied for eighth.
After opening with scores of 74 and 76, senior Cameron Carter (Rock Springs, WY/ Kelly Walsh) closed with a 69 to finish at 219 and tied for 17th place.
Freshman Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) signed for a 74 to finish at 223 and tied for 26th place.
TLU will be back in action next week on Sept. 27-28th when they travel to Temple, TX to take part in the UMHB Invitational at Sammons Park.
