Texas Lutheran's Nathan Haley named SCAC Golfer of the Week after win in New Mexico

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran's Nathan Haley, a senior from Richmond (Foster), has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for competition played through Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Haley earned his first career medalist honors last week, winning the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate on the first playoff hole at the at the par-72, 7,103-yard Rockwinds Links Golf Course in Hobbs, N.M.
 
After firing an opening round 71, Haley forced a playoff with a 2-under second round of 70 for a 141 two-day total.
 
Haley’s performance lifted the Bulldogs to a third-place team finish with a 36-hole score of 599.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Robby Evans of Dallas led the Crusaders to a fifth-place team finish and fired rounds of 71 and 76 to post a 147 to finish tied for fourth at the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate. Sophomore Austin O’Brien of Schreiner posted a 36-hole total of 148 to finish tied for sixth after identical rounds of 74.
