Texas Lutheran Men's Golf in fourth out of 19 teams after one round at Chick-fil-A Collegiate

 
ROME, Ga. -- Texas Lutheran Men's Golf carded a team round of 297 to hold fourth place among 19 teams at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club.
 
The Bulldogs are 12 shots behind 32nd-ranked LaGrange College (Ga.) and nine shots behind second-ranked Huntingdon College (Ala.).
 
Walters State Community College (Tenn.) and TLU are in third and fourth, respectively.
 
The rest of the top 10 in the team standings includes: Maryville College (Tenn.), Birmingham Southern, Berry College "A", Berry College "B", Emory "B", and Oglethorpe "B."
 
TLU's Matthew McArthur and Cameron Carter are tied for 14th after rounds of 1-over-par 73.
 
Chase Maus and Nathan Haley sit in ties for 23rd and 49th, respectively, after rounds of 74 and 77. Evan Skaar is in a tie for 76th after a round of 81.
 
Andrew Linkous of Walters State CC is the overnight leader after shooting a 5-under 67.
 
Team leader LaGrange received three 1-under rounds of 71 and a 1-over 72 from their top four players.

The tournament concludes Tuesday at Stonebridge with a final 18 holes.
