TLU Men's Golf in tie for 7th after round one of Alamo City Classic

SAN ANTONIO -- Texas Lutheran Men's Golf shot an opening-round team score of 305 Monday and sits in a tie for seventh place at the Trinity University Alamo City Classic.
 
At The Quarry Golf Club, the Bulldogs posted five rounds in the 70s, but the team is 13 shots out of first place. University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (292) is the overnight leader.
 
Trinity (294), Schreiner (295), LeTourneau (296), Hardin-Simmons (296), Houston-Victoria (298), University of Dallas (305), TLU (305), Howard Payne (306), and Trinity "B" (311) round out the field.
 
Cameron Carter led the Bulldogs on Monday with a round of 73. Carter is in a tie for 10th.
 
Landon Oney of LeTourneau is the first-round leader. Oney carded a 67.
 
TLU's Evan Skaar and Chase Maus are in ties for 16th and 34th, respectively, after scores of 75 and 78.
 
Nathan Haley and Matthew McArthur each posted a score of 79. The two Bulldogs are in a tie for 39th.

The Alamo City Classic concludes Tuesday with a final two rounds at The Quarry Golf Club.
