Texas Lutheran Men's Golf in second, Maus in first after round at Texas Cup
PLANO, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Men's Golf is in second place after a round of play at the University of Texas at Dallas' Texas Cup, played at The Courses at Watters Creek in Plano.
Bulldog golfer Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) is tied for the lead after a first-round 71.
The Bulldogs posted a team score of 296. TLU trail McMurry by three shots entering Sunday's final round.
TLU's Colin Uecker (Kerrville/Tivy) is in a tie for eighth after a 73, and Nathan Haley (Richmond/Foster) and Matthew McArthur (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) are tied for 20th after each carded a 76.
The Bulldogs are one of 15 teams competing at the Texas Cup.
