TLU in fifth, Uecker second after two rounds of adidas Intercollegiate

DATAW ISLAND, S.C. -- Texas Lutheran Men's Golf posted a second-round 297 Monday and moved up the leaderboard to fifth place after two rounds of the adidas Intercollegiate at the Cotton Dike Course.

Bulldog senior Colin Uecker (Kerrville/Tivy) sits in a tie for second after rounds of 73 and 71. Uecker trails leader Casey Leebrike of York (Pa.) by two shots entering Tuesday's final 18 holes.

Connor Tran (Canyon Lake/home school) posted a 73 in the second round to help the Bulldogs stay near the front of the team leaderboard.

Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) and Nathan Haley (Richmond/Foster) also posted rounds in the 70s in the second round. Maus fired a 76, and Haley had a 77. Haley had a 74 in the opening round, and Maus started with a 76.

Haley is tied for 27th, and Tran is tied for 39th. Maus is tied for 46th.

North Carolina Wesleyan and Oglethorpe leads the tournament after team scores of 587. TLU sits in fifth at 602. Fifteen teams are playing in the tournament.
