Bulldogs in third, Haley fourth after round one at Abilene Intercollegiate

ABILENE, Texas – Texas Lutheran Men's Golf posted a first-round team score of 296 to sit eight shots behind McMurry with 18 holes to play at the Hardin-Simmons University Abilene Intercollegiate.
 
Monday at the Diamondback Golf Course, Nathan Haley (Richmond/Foster) shot an even-par round of 71 to lead the Bulldogs. Haley is in a tie for fourth overall.
 
Matthew McArthur (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Colin Uecker (Kerrville/Tivy) carded rounds of 74 and 75. McArthur sits in a tie for ninth, and Uecker is in a tie for 13^th.
 
Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) and Evan Skaar (Coleraine, Minn./Homeschool/Greenway) are tied for 21^st and 42^nd, respectively, after rounds of 76 and 81.
 
McMurry leads after shooting a 288.
 
The War Hawks are followed in the team standings by: Southwestern (289), TLU, HSU (298), LeTourneau (304), Mary Hardin-Baylor (308), University of Texas at Dallas (308), Howard Payne (316), and Centenary (321).
 
Cade Osgood of Southwestern holds the overnight lead after firing a 4-under 67 on Monday.
 
The tournament concludes Tuesday with a final 18 holes at Diamondback.
