Bio

Bryson Johnson enters his first season on the Texas Lutheran men's basketball coaching staff in 2023-24. He joined the Bulldogs program in September of 2023.

Originally from New Orleans but playing his prep years in Houston, he brings experience as a former player at the collegiate level and coach at the high school level.

Johnson spent the previous season on the coaching staff at St. John XXIII College Prep in Katy, Texas, as a Varsity Asst & JV basketball coach - helping improve their wins for the season to double digits, while also working as a player development coach in the Houston area. 

As a talented high school athlete, Johnson graduated from Morton Ranch High School in Katy, Texas in 2017. He played four years at the University of the Ozarks (2017-21), earning his bachelor's degree in business administration. Johnson finished his career at the University of the Ozarks as member of the 1000-point club and top five all time in assists. In his senior season, he averaged 21.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game to help lead Ozarks to a conference championship and their first ever ASC championship. He was named tournament MVP, All Conference, and D3Hoops.com All-South region team.

Johnson graduated with his undergraduate degree in business administration from University of The Ozarks in 2021.
