Bulldogs' Lister, Andrade named to All-SCAC Men's Basketball Second Team
KERRVILLE, Texas – Texas Lutheran junior shooting guard Sebastian Andrade and junior forward Caleb Lister were named Saturday to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference Second Team.
Senior guard/forward Jorden Kite and junior guard Jamir Mason claimed spots on the SCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.
Andrade, Lister, Kite, and Mason and the rest of the Bulldogs play for the SCAC Championship today (Sunday) against Centenary College (La.). Tip-off is set for noon at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.
The Bulldogs are 16-11 overall and have won two games in the conference tournament to reach the championship game.
TLU is in search of its second consecutive conference title and its fifth title in the last six seasons.
Andrade, a three-year starter for TLU, averages 18.1 points per game. He is the fourth-leading scorer in the SCAC.
Andrade also averages 6.3 rebounds (14th in the SCAC). He has made 46 three-pointers and 114 free throws.
Lister, in his first year as an every-game starter, averages 14.6 points per game and shoots 46.1 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from the three-point line.
Lister leads TLU in rebounds, with 235 and an 8.7 rebound per game average. He is sixth in the SCAC in rebounding.
Kite and Mason are third and fourth on the Bulldogs in scoring. Kite, a senior, averages 12.5 per game. He has made 71 three-pointers, and he shoots 90.5 percent from the line.
Mason, the Bulldogs' point guard, scores at a clip of 10.2 per game. He has dished out 68 assists and registered 157 rebounds (5.8 per game).
All four players average at least 29 minutes of playing time per game. Andrade and Mason are over 33 minutes per contest.
