Texas Lutheran Hands St. Thomas First Loss of the Season

HOUSTON, Texas --Texas Lutheran won it's fourth consecutive contest with a 77-74 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over St. Thomas (Texas) on Friday night.
 
Sebastian Andrade (El Paso/Americas) led all Bulldogs with 22 points and four rebounds. Andrade scored ten points in the first-half and 12 points in the second-half.
 
Caleb Lister (Bayton/Baytown Christian) went for a double-double, scoring  20 points and pulling down 12 total rebounds for TLU.
 
Jamir Mason (Pearland/St. Thomas Episcopal) went for 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the Bulldogs.
 
The Bulldog defense held the Celts to a season-low in scoring, as the Bulldogs allowed 74 points in the SCAC victory. Freddie Ricks III led the Celts in scoring with 28 points. 
 
TLU moves to 8-5 overall and 5-1 in SCAC action, while St. Thomas falls to 13-1 and 6-1 in conference play.
 
There were five lead changes in the game, and the game was tied five other times.
 
TLU hits the court again this Sunday in Shreveport, Louisiana. Game time is set for noon, against Centenary College.
