TLU Football's 2025 Slate Revealed

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Football's 2025 schedule was announced by head coach Neal LaHue and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) on Tuesday.

The slate features seven games inside the state's borders, including five at home inside Bulldog Stadium. The Bulldogs will have four true road contests, beginning with their week three contest at Southwestern in Georgetown on Sept. 20 before returning home to face East Texas Baptist in more non-conference action on Sept. 27. Texas Lutheran will open its 2025 slate with back-to-back home contests starting with its season opener against rival Trinity in a rare Thursday night showdown (Sept. 4) followed by a home contest against Howard Payne (Sept. 13). Texas Lutheran will have its first open date on Oct. 4. After the bye week, four of the Bulldogs final six games will be away from Seguin and all against conference opponents.

Texas Lutheran will make its second-ever trip to Shreveport, Louisiana, to take on the Centenary College Gents on Oct. 11 before returning to Seguin for Senior Day as they take on new SCAC member, Hendrix College, for the first time since 2019 in just the fourth meeting between the two programs. Hendrix leads the all-time series 2-1. The Bulldogs conclude their home slate with a homecoming bout against Austin College on Oct. 25.

The Bulldogs will cap the 2025 regular season with two road games and a neutral site matchup. TLU will travel to Abilene to face 2024 SCAC Co-Champion McMurry on Nov. 1 before making the trip to Clarksville, Arkansas, to face the Lyon College Scots on Nov. 8. The final week of the regular season will consist of the first-ever SCAC Championship Weekend that will feature a SCAC Championship and third place game inside War Memorial Stadium - the secondary home stadium of the Arkansas Razorbacks - in Little Rock, Arkansas.
