Ocampo named D3Football.com Preseason All-American

SEGUIN, TX -- Texas Lutheran University Senior Kicker Juan Ocampo (Lockhart/Lockhart) was named a Preseason Third Team All-American by D3football.com on Tuesday.

A regular season First Team All-American per D3football.com last spring, Ocampo has been a stalwart on special teams his first three seasons as the Bulldogs' kicker - racking up a number of awards along the way.

Last season, Ocampo was one of the best kickers in all of Division-III - making 7-out of-8 field goal attempts and making all 17 of his extra point attempts last season.

As we grow closer to the season, expect Ocampo's name to appear on more preseason watch lists and for him to secure a few more honors before the seasoon kicks off. He enters his senior season following a spectacular junior season that saw him named a D3football.com First Team All-American, CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American, a member of of the All-ASC First Team, as well as being named to the ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Football Team.

The Bulldogs open the season on the road against Howard Payne University September 4th at 1:00 PM.
