Goudeau Garners SCAC Hitter of the Week Honors

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran outfielder Mason Goudeau (Liberty/Liberty) was tabbed the SCAC Hitter of the Week on Monday evening after an impressive string of performances in the Bulldogs four-game weekend.

Goudeau continues to swing a hot bat leading the Bulldogs to a 3-1 weekend. The sophomore slugger had a hit in all four games and is currently riding a six game hit streak.

The Liberty, Texas, native went a perfect 4-for-4 with a run scored in the Bulldogs first game of the weekend against Vermont State Castleton and had a hit in his first five at-bats on the weekend.

Goudeau hit .615 with a a double, a triple, a homer and five RBIs over four games including three stolen bases. 

Goudeau is the second TLU player to be named Hitter of the Week this season after Xavier Arias earned the honor on Feb. 12.

Texas Lutheran continues its 13-game homestand with a three-game mid-week series with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) starting on Wednesday at 6 PM. All games will be streamed on TLU's YouTube Channel, TLU+. All streaming and live stats links can be found on tlubulldogs.com.
