Ben Wolf is in his fifth season as an assistant coach (throws coach) with the Texas Lutheran Women's and Men's Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field programs.

Since arriving at Texas Lutheran, Ben has helped coach the throwers to 18 individual throws conference champions (10 men and 8 women). The men’s and women’s throwers have accumulated 19 Field Athlete of the Week Awards.

Last year in 2021, Wolf coached freshmen Scottie Reyes to qualifying for the Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. Reyes also finished with a share of the SCAC Newcomer of the year award with his 1st place finish in the Shot Put and Discus at the SCAC Outdoor Conference Championships, he also finished 3rd in the hammer throw.

In 2020, before COVID ended the outdoor season, Wolf was able to coach Garrett Garza to qualifying for the 2020 Indoor Track and Field Championships. Unfortunately, due to the meet being cancelled, Garza was unable to compete, but was still given All-American honors. Garza was also named the USTFCCCA South/Southeast Region Field Athlete of the Year.

In 2019, Wolf coached shot-putter Garrett Garza to a national runner-up finish in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Garza broke the school record for shot put four times during the 2019 season, and he only lost one time to an NCAA Division III athlete in an outdoor competition.

Wolf also coached Garza to an All-America finish in the shot put at the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. Garza was eighth in the 2019 indoor championships. Garza also qualified for the 2018 outdoor championships.

Wolf also served as the throws coach for javelin specialist Tia Hart, who qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

With Wolf as the throws coach, the Bulldogs won the 2018 and 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track & Field team titles.
