Bio

Joey Dearing is in his sixth season at Texas Lutheran University serving as an assistant coach. Dearing joined the Bulldogs' coaching staff prior to the 2018 season. 

Dearing was a part of the TLU coaching staff in 2018 as the Bulldogs advanced to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship (DIII World Series) in Appleton, Wis.

The Bulldogs won the 2018 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship and the 2018 NCAA DIII Spokane, Wash. Regional Championship.

In 2019, TLU Baseball won the SCAC Regular Season Co-Championship and advanced to its second straight NCAA Baseball Championship regional tournament round.

In 2021, TLU Baseball won the SCAC Conference Tournament and advanced to the Wisconsin-Whitewater Regional.

Dearing is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. He played baseball for the Cowboys.

Dearing is the brother of former TLU Football stand-out linebacker Jake Dearing.
