Senior watches presented to nine graduating Texas Lutheran student-athletes

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Athletics celebrated the upcoming Dec. 21 graduation of nine Bulldog student-athletes with the presentation of senior watches Thursday at Hein Dining Hall's Suehs Room.
 
TLU student-athletes receive senior watches for the completion of their undergraduate degrees. Student-athletes also must complete their collegiate careers as members in good standing of their respective athletics programs.
 
This year's group of graduating seniors combined to claim a national runner-up finish in baseball (2018), win a combined eight conference championships, and earn a combined 13 all-conference honors.
 
TLU student-athletes collecting their senior watches for December 2019 graduation were:

Kylee Garcia - Women's Cross Country and Women's Track & Field
Kyle Grona - Football
Ian Hons - Men's Track & Field
Austin Mathews - Football
Heriberto Perales - Men's Soccer
Cody Rimko - Baseball
Travis Roberts - Men's Track & Field
Connor Tran - Men's Golf
Travis York - Football

The senior watches were presented to the student-athletes by TLU President Dr. Debbie Cottrell and TLU Director of Athletics Bill Miller.
 
Six of the nine watch recipients were able to attend Thursday's luncheon. Austin Mathews, Heriberto Perales, and Cody Rimko were awarded their senior watches in absentia.
